Family-Placed Death Notice
HICKS, Paul, Jr. Paul Hicks, Jr. died on October 28, 2008. He was a graduate of Clarkston High School. He attended college at Morehead State University in Morehead, KY on a football scholarship where he was named to the All OVC team. He received his BA in History and Science and his Masters in Education. He taught and coached football at Avondale High School 1970-1973. He LOVED playing golf, cruising, and being with his family. He is survived by his father, Paul Hicks, Sr. his wife, Connie Hicks; his children, Sandy Hicks, Ginny Reeves and husband, Kevin Reeves, Trey Hicks; grandchildren, Aspen, Bo, and Olivia Reeves; brothers, David and T.C. Hicks; sister, Connie Dorsey; dear in-laws; nieces and nephews. There will be an Open House Reception to celebrate Paul's life on Sunday, November 2nd from 1:00-4:00pm at his home in Braselton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the M. Paul Hicks, Jr. Foundation at Gwinnett Community Banks located in Duluth, Suwanee, and Hamilton Mill. Donations will be dispersed to charities he supported. Paul was an organ donor and was cremated. Arrangements by: Junior E. My thoughts and prays are with you all. Big D was a huge part of my life and my heart, as well as the whole family. He will be missed greatly.
I wish I could have been there Sunday. Actually, in spirit, I was. I was sitting on the beach thinking about you all. Big D would have enjoyed it. Hims up there with Sisser, Krystal P and Georgia now!

PAUL WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY SO MANY PEOPLE. I KNOW HIS FATHER WAS VERY IMPORTANT IN HIS LIFE AND THEY WERE ABLE TO SPEND SOME TIME TOGETHER BEFORE HIS DEATH. I'M JUST THE SISTER-IN-LAW AND THE BEST TRIBUTE TO PAUL IS THE AMAZING BOND HE HAD WITH HIS WIFE,CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN; THEY WERE THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IN HIS LIFE AND HIS WIFE, CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN FELT THE SAME ABOUT HIM.
