Donna Sue Rayburn

Donna Sue Rayburn, age 77, of Commerce, GA (formerly of Buford, GA) passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-four years, James Leon Rayburn, Sr.; son, James Timothy Holcombe. Mrs. Rayburn is survived by her sons, James Leon Rayburn, Jr. of Commerce, GA, Joe (Faith) Holcombe of Dawsonville, GA; grandchildren, Paige (Tristan) Hayes, Zoe (Dakota) Day, Timothy James (Courtney Holcombe)

Jeremy Holcombe, Ronni Holcombe; great-grandchildren, Whyatt Holcombe, Parker Holcombe, Clayton Holcombe, Eleanor Holcombe, Aspen Day, Grayson Day; sister, Dianne Adams of Sharpsburg, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. "She loved her cats, Midnight and Luna." Mrs. Rayburn was born on January 13, 1949 in Atlanta, GA. She received her education at McLendon Elementary School and Clarkston High School. Mrs. Rayburn was a retired medical administrator from Emory Hospital located in midtown. She was a member of Duncan Creek Congregational Church in Buford. Mrs. Rayburn loved reading, crocheting, spending time with her family, and going every day to the Senior Citizen Club in Carnesville, GA. Mrs. Rayburn will lie-in-state at the Duncan Creek Congregational Church on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Duncan Creek Congregational Church with Dr. James Dee Dillin officiating. Interment will follow at the Duncan Creek Congregational Church Cemetery in Buford. The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
