Wayne Harry Clark

CLARK – Wayne Harry Clark, age 77 of Winder, Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026. Services will be private. A lifelong Georgian, Wayne was a proud graduate of the Clarkston High School Class of 1968. Following graduation, he honorably served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea. Wayne dedicated 30 years of hard work to General Motors, retiring in 1999 from the GM Doraville Parts Plant. His commitment to his career was matched only by his passion for his community and his hobbies. An avid bowler, Wayne shared his love for the sport by serving as the Past President of the Greater Atlanta Bowling Association. During the 1980s and 90s, Wayne was a familiar face on the sidelines of local youth sports. As Past President of the Brookwood Football Youth Association, he spent years mentoring young athletes and ensuring the growth of the program he loved. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Olean (Cantrell) and Almond Clark. He is survived by son Andy Clark and family, daughter Betsey Whitaker and family, twin brother Duane Clark, brother Scott Clark, brother Barry Clark, brother Wade Clark and several nieces and nephews.
