I remember Rev. Sutton as a honorable man who lead his church with pride and dignity. I was a very girl when would come to my grandmother and grandfather house for vacation Bible school. It was a most memorable time and he was an approachable and caring person that loved his church as well as his wife and family. I am truly grateful for the dedication to teaching and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. RIP

This is with sadness I extend my condolences to the family. Rev. Sutton and Dixie Hill Baptist Church were a part of my childhood. Being in the Sunlight choir, Vacation Bible School and summers with my cousin Maranda and Grandparents Clifford and Ruby McGregor. A kind man and a powerful preacher.

To the Sutton Family, My Dixie Hills First Baptist Church Family and all those who knew and loved Pastor R.B. Sutton, May God bless you with his tender comfort in this season of tremendous grief. Dr. Sutton was an humble Shepherd and mighty servant of God. His passion was leading others to trust in God, and serve him with their whole heart. He carried out his calling with sincere compassion and empathy. On Sunday, January 12, 2020, the Lord granted him fair winds and following seas for his journey home. My heart is sad and yet I rejoice in knowing, journey completed, he is now at home with the Lord. Hallelujah!!!
