Barbara and Robert:
To be a Christian means to know that your father is heaven beginning his everlasting life. After my mom passed last year, I was flipping through some reading material trying to put the words together for the eulogy for Mama's funeral. I found these words:
And joys and tears alike are sent
To give the soul fit nourishment.
As comes to me or cloud or sun,
Father! Your will, not mine be done. -Sarah Flower Adams
I found these words to be most comforting then, and still do.
May You be Blessed, and May Your Times of Sorrow be Few.

Hi Robert...Sorry to learn of your Dad's passing, but it is a blessing to be able to keep him for such a long time. My Mom reached 95 and I read where Bob Mayfields Mom, who recently passed reached 95 or 96. We're fortunate to have had them for the long time.

I was raised on Railroad Money $$$. My Daddy retired from the Georgia Road in 1968 when he was 65 and had a new driver's license in his pocket when he died in 1996 at 92. My Daddy and Cotton worked together everyday for a long time. The yard master was the Boss and my Daddy was an engineer. I said the last prayer at my Daddy's grave and i said he Practiced the Golden Rule and he O'beyed the Work Ethic. i didn't know Cotton but i bet he did too.

Barbara and Robert, I never met your Dad, but I know he was a wonderful man and he lived a long life. He is in God's hands now and will suffer no more.
May God comfort you and your brother and your whole family during this time of sorrow.
