Hi Dad-

It's been 5 years since your passing and at times it seems like yesterday. I miss you so much; yet I can still feel your presence. I just wish we could talk/visit, like in the old days. You will always been remembered- life isn't the same without you.

Hi Dad, Tomorrow is Father's Day and normally I would treat you to a game of golf (of course when the weather is cooler). I remember so many things you said to me over the years and they have served me well. I also admire your "live and let live" philosophy about life. Thanks for all your sharing and Happy Father's Day! Love, Laura And Dan

Dad-

It's hard to believe its been 4 years since your passing. We still talk about you often even though you were taken from us too soon.

I'll always remember your joking manner. You had a positive outlook toward life and kept others entertained. While I don't possess those qualities, I do find that the older I get the more I am like you (from habits to mannerisms to things I say, etc.). I thought you might find this interesting. I continue to cherish the times we had together and all the things you taught and helped me with.

Today is a good day to remember, when you were finally free. I know that's what you wanted.

We'll talk again..

Love,

Dan

I think of you often and wish you were here- life isn't the same without you. I often wonder how you'd be doing if you hadn't left.

You lived life on your terms and I'll forever miss your smile and joking manner. I'm reminded of you in so many things.

Dad-

Words cant describe how much I miss you. I think about you almost everyday and wonder what life would be like if you never got sick. You left so suddenly and I know the end was terrible. Life is simply not the same without you.
I hope you are doing fine in your new place and that you realize how much you are missed. Ill never forget all your joking around, light heartedness, and the way you put everyone at ease. Ive tried to take care of mom and the house to the best of my ability. Its not always been easy and I wonder how much you must have thought about this prior to leaving. By the way, the garage is exactly as you left it and Im going to finish working on the Nova for you. I hope you and John are well. If youre right, maybe well see each other again someday. Love, Dan

I don't ask for help often yet I need your help now. You are my rock and I miss you terribly. I love you, Laura

Bert-

I hope you safely made it to your new place. The two weeks leading up to your passing were extremely difficult-for you and us. We all shared in your pain in one form or another.

Life certainly won't be the same without you. Everything we do now (and as a family) will be quite different- much like when John left. Not a day goes by when you're not in my mind. And, each day I am left to wonder what you would do in a particular situation such as taking care of the house, etc. I know you always wanted things done in a certain way. Of course, our attention now turns to taking care of mom. Thanks for all you did to help her these many years.

Your zest for life, and sense of humor will be greatly missed. You had such a strong presence- I really can't say there's anyone else like you. It's just so hard to believe you aren't here. In the end, everything seemed to happen so quickly, and remains a shock.

I hope you are enjoying your new place, and I look forward to seeing you again someday. I think you know how much we all cared for you.

I love you!

It is truly sad to loose such a vibrant personality as "Bert". I will miss his sense of humor and his love of conversation. As his son in law I found him to be a kind and generous person willing to do what ever he could for you if the need existed.
To my Wife, Mother in law and Brother in law, I extend my deepest sympathy for your loss. I too have lost a true friend in Bert. I will miss him always.
Rest In Peace Dear Father in Law!
