Dr. Handelsman was one of my favorite physicians to call on. He was intelligent, kind, and I always learned something about nephrology and patient care when we chatted. He will be missed by many of us in the industry.

Stu was such a wonderful man... so warm and compassionate. I recall very well sitting with him at Friday night services, especially at yartzeits at B´Nai Torah. He would give you the shirt off his back... He is truly missed.

I am so extremely sad and sorry to hear of the death of this incredible man, Dr. Stuart Handelsman. He was the first cousin of my late husband, Mitch Kerper.
When my husband was very ill, he would visit him in hospice or nursing home & provide support, courage, kindness & hope.
A kind, caring, patient & loving man.
God bless you, dear Stu, and mat your memory be a blessing forever.
Heartfelt condolences to his family

We just found out about Dr. Handelsman passing away. Dr, Handelsman not only treated our special needs son, Jonathan (he has CP), but also found another specialist who determined that Jonathan's kidney problems were because he had shunt nephritis which is very rare. Thanks to Dr. Handelsman Jonathan is doing well. We are very grateful that God enabled our paths to cross so that Jonathan could get the care he needed. We pray for God's presence for Ms. Robin & all the family as well as the staff at North Atlanta Kidney Specialists.

I just heard of Dr. Handelsman´s death. Just before I left Atlanta for graduate school in 1985, I visited his office once or twice. Then, from 2001 until 2022, he was my nephrologist. He gave approval so that my wife and I could adopt our daughter in 2003. When my kidney transplant failed after 21 years in 2014, he saw me through training and home dialysis. He was still with me after my second transplant in 2015. After 20 plus years, I will definitely miss Dr. Handelsman. He had gifts of medical skills and human personality rare to be found in most practitioners. Thank you to his family for sharing him and condolences from our family to yours.

I miss him and our conversations covering any and all topics. I am saddened.

I had the pleasure of calling on Dr. Handelsman for 14 years as a sales rep. Always a smile and always willing to share knowledge. He was such a joy to have lunch with and I learned a great deal from him. He will be missed!

I am a retired nurse that worked with Dr. Handlesman on a medical unit at NSH. I can not say enough good things about Dr Handlesman. He was the nicest Doctor I have ever worked with. He treated the staff and his patients as if they were family. Always with a smile on his face. We lost a good man and an excellent Doctor. So many will remember him because he was such a good person. I know I will remember him.

I was Dr. Handlesman's "favorite patient". Whenever I came in for an appointment it was more like visiting a friend. We would talk more about the Mets and music more than we discussed my health. Of course, when I was sick he worked so hard to get me better and back on my feet.
He even met my parents and sat and chatted with us for two innings when he saw us at a Mets game.
We lost a great soul yesterday and the world won't be quite the same.

I am a retired RN who worked with Dr H in dialysis for 10 years, before leaving to be a transplant coordinator. He was a sweet man, easy to work with, and always had his patients´ best interests at the front of his mind. I am sorry to hear this.

Wishing my sincerest condolences to the entire family. Stu was truly one of the kindest and compassionate people I ever knew. I was so sad to hear of his passing because he was progressing so well.
He was always there to lend a helping hand and ear. The world will miss his smiling face, but he left such positivity for us to remember.
