Doug Beam Obituary

Doug Beam
1935 - 2014

Doug Beam, long time resident of Georgetown, Calif., passed away suddenly in his home Sunday morning, July 13. 2104. The second oldest of seven children. Doug was born in 1935 in Modesto, Calif.
After graduating from Placer High School, Doug and Nancy married and raised three daughters, and later one grandaughter.
Many would recognize Doug as the logging truck driver in his old, red Mack truck waving as he made one of his many trips through town, until his retirement in the late 90’s. He was a “jack of all trades,” and knew how to fix most anything, and ready with advice or a home remedy.
Doug enjoyed life to the fullest fishing, cooking, and canning, reading, AND people. In fact, Doug never met a stranger and if you had a time for a story he would tell you one (or ten!)
Doug is survived by his wife of 59 years: Nancy Beam, Daughters: Roxan Johnson, Ronda Monson, Suzanne Jones, grandchildren: Tamara Cable, Joey Johnson, Kathryn Puga, David Jones, Deanna Marston, Derek Jones, Richard and Robert Monson. Doug and Nancy also have nine great granchildren which they count to be a huge blessing in their lives.
Because Doug put his faith in Jesus Christ as a young man of 19 and lived to serve Him all his life it is this Hope that comforts those he has left behind knowing that he has passed on to be with his beloved Savior. Doug was a unique person who touched many, many, lives and he will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Garden Valley Chapel on Marshall Rd., Garden Valley, at 1:30 p.m.

To the Beam family. Our family is sorry for your loss. It is hard to go through this difficult time, but it's good to know that we keep in our heart all the good moments, love, and care that we share with our loved ones. Romans 8:38, 39 says that nothing …. not even death is be able to separate us from God's love.
