AUBURN | Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Mc Lane Cadwallader, 89, of 36 Fourth Ave., Auburn, passed away Monday afternoon, Sept. 2, 2013 at Auburn Nursing Home.
A lifelong resident of Auburn, Betty was born on July 2, 1924, the daughter of James and Eva Boudin McLane. She was a graduate of Auburn schools, and was a former employee of the Big Store, having previously worked at Robert Hall. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Sacred Heart Altar and Rosary Society.
Her husband, Charles Cadwallader passed away in 1997. Surviving are their children, Jack Cadwallader, of New York City, Robert Cadwallader, of Angier, N.C., and Ann (Robert) Escobar, of Oxnard, Calif.; one granddaughter, Gabrielle Cadwallader, of Long Island; two sisters, Pat Costisick, of Auburn, and Evelyn (James) Casbarro, of Auburn.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband; a son, Jerry; brothers, Raymond, Paul, and Richard McLane; sisters, Margaret, Helen, Marion, and Jean McLane.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 in Sacred Heart Church, Auburn. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Farrell's Funeral Service, Inc., 84 South St., Auburn.
