Karen Plis Obituary
May 31, 1951 - December 31, 2024
Karen L. Plis, 73, of Red Creek, formerly of Auburn, passed away at home on December 31, 2024, following a brief illness. Born and raised in Scipio Center, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Onita Leisenring.
Karen was a 1969 graduate of Southern Cayuga Central School. With her late husband Fred Plis she owned and operated MAC'S Restaurant in Auburn for a number of years. They continued working together for Product Development Corp. until their retirement.
She is survived by her daughters, Lori (Mike) Trimm and Tami (Ernie) Leonard; her sons, Sam and Robert; stepsons, Chris (Erin) and Corey; her sister, Ellen; several grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Besides her parents, Karen was predeceased by her husband, Fred Plis; her brothers, Phil, Wayne and Fred; and her sister, Lorna.
Karen's motto always was "I did it my way."
There are no calling hours or services at this time. The family will have a celebration of her life in May.
Arrangements are by the Plis Funeral Home.

Karen was a wonderful and caring person. She was a sweetheart. She was my daughter´s first landlord. And was so good to her. She still lives in the house the family grew up in. She will be missed . Thinking of you all . Your in my prayers!!!
