Mabel Chase Obituary
FLEMING - Mabel A. Chase, 88, formerly of State Route 34, Fleming, died Monday, June 20, 2016 at The Commons on St. Anthony.
Mrs. Chase was born in Victory, N.Y. on March 8, 1928. The daughter of the late Dewitt and Katherine Wells Spicer, she was a graduate of Weedsport High School. For many years she was employed with Frontnac Food Services of Auburn, doing food preparation. She was an avid gardener.
Mabel is survived by her son, Bradley A. Chase and his wife, Lauren, of Syracuse; a granddaughter, Molly J. Chase, of Auburn; two brothers, Adam J. Spicer, of Auburn, and Benjamin Spicer, of Freeville; nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Chase was predeceased by her husband, Donald A. Chase, on Jan. 30, 2010.
In accordance with Mrs. Chase's wishes, services will be held privately for the family.
Contributions in memory of Mrs. Mabel A. Chase may be made to any local Alzheimer's Association.
Funeral arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St., Auburn.
