Patrick A. Capozzi

GENEVA | Patrick A. Capozzi, 84, of Nagel Place, passed away on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Benincasa, Home for the Terminally Ill, in Mendon. Family and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home, 45 High St., Geneva. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Auburn. Memorial contributions may be made to Benincasa, Home for the Terminally Ill, 3880 Rush Mendon Road, Mendon, NY 14506. Patrick was born on Oct. 16, 1928 in Auburn, the son of the late, Vito and Isabella Daddoto Capozzi. He was a graduate of St. Bonaventure University and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from the American Can Company as an engineer. Patrick was a member of St. Stephen's Church, Winnek Post 396 American Legion, and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Liz (Capozzi) and George Baroody, of Ovido, Fla.; a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Gina (D'Alesandro) Capozzi, of Henrietta; six granddaughters, Krista, Bethany and Danielle Baroody, Brittany, Lindsey and Jacklyn Capozzi; brothers, Anthony (Mary) Capozzi, of Greece and Nicholas (Arlene) Capozzi, of Godfrey, Ill.; sisters, Lucy Ciulla, of Florida, Angie (Donald) Bowden, of Weedsport and Mary Osterman, of Auburn; several nieces and nephews. Patrick was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen; brother and sister-in-law, John and Mildred Capozzi and brother-in-law, Nunzio Ciulla.
