Carole Hayes Obituary

Carole Page Hayes, 80, beloved wife of 61 years of Robert A. Hayes, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 6, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Platt's Crawford Avenue Chapel with Rev. John Jenkins officiating. Interment to follow at Graniteville Cemetery.

Mrs. Hayes retired from Fort Gordon after 45 years of civil service. She also enjoyed singing in the choir of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hayes is survived by her children, Elizabeth Hayes Southard (Emery), Susan Hayes Curd (Tony), and David William Hayes; brother, John Truman Page (Martha); sister, Clydia Page Vickers; and by her six grand and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Audrey Green.

Pallbearers will be Emery Southard, Greg Brewer, Mike Curd, Brian Curd, Tony Curd, and Kyle Kitchens.

If so desired memorials may be made to the St. Paul's Episcopal Church Choir, 605 Reynolds Street, Augusta, GA, 30901.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, January 9, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
