Carolyn Dunbar Obituary

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Carolyn E. Baker Dunbar, 86, beloved wife of the late William R. 'Billy' Dunbar Sr. was entered into rest Thursday, July 24, 2003 at MCG Hospital Augusta. She was a member of Wildwood Christian Church of Augusta. Mrs. Dubar was a resident of Keysville Nursing Home and Rehab Center. She was born in Berrien County in 1917. She lived most of her life in Hephzibah where she was a devoted Sunday school teacher at Hephzibah United Methodist Church. She was the first female Hephzibah Town Commission Member ever in the history of Hephzibah in 1970. Graveside service will be held on today, Saturday, July 26, 2003 at 11 a.m., at Westover Memorial Park with Reverend Bob Mathews, officiating. Mrs. Dunbar is survived by two sons, David Marion Dunbar of Augusta and William Randolph Dunbar II and daughter-in-law, Christy B. Dunbar of Augusta; two sisters, Billie Baker Browne of Albany, and Robin Baker Doster of Dublin; two sister-in-laws, Janis Dunbar Paulk of North Augusta, and Barbara Rowan of Enigma; and one grandson, William R. 'Billy' Dunbar III of Augusta. Memorial contributions may be made to Wildwood Christian Church of Augusta.
