Emory Lane Obituary

MILLEN, Ga. - Mr. Emory L. Lane, Sr. age 90 died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Ogeechee Hospice in Statesboro. He was born in Jenkins County, U. S. Army veteran of World War II, a retired farmer and carpenter, and a member of the Ogeechee Freewill Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Cardiac Club. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, at the Ogeechee Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. E. T. Taylor and Virgil Badie officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Burnease H. Lane of Millen; a son, Emory L. (Tonya) Lane, Jr. of Calhoun; 2 grandchildren, Levi Lane and Ella Lane; sisters-in-law, Ruby Lane, Louise Lane, Helen H. Reddick, Agnes Lane, Dorothy H. Glisson; and special brother-in-law, Mike Hickman Sr. Active Pallbearers will be nephews, Jerry Reddick, Grady Collins, Don Glisson, Mike Hickman Jr., Stan Hickman, Joey Reeves, John Lane, and David Mons.
