Jim Bounds Obituary

AUGUSTA, Ga. - SGM (Ret.) Jim Bounds entered into rest on December 31, 2013 at his residence. Funeral service with full military honors will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Bicentennial Chapel, Ft. Gordon with Pastor CSM (Ret.) Al Robinson officiating. Burial will be at Georgia Veteran Cemetery, Milledgeville, GA. SGM Bounds retired from the U. S. Army after thirty years of service having received several commendations and medals. Upon retirement, he was employed with AAFES for thirteen years. He received an associate degree from Georgia Military College and a diploma in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration from Augusta Technical College. Survivors are his wife of forty six years, Mary L. Bounds; sister, Mary K Douglas, Oak Ridge, TN; aunt, Jessie Bounds, Clinton, TN; sisters-in-law, Georgette Williams, Gwendolyn Martin, Augusta; nephews, Paul Kevin Bounds, Clayton Douglas, TN; dear cousins, JoAnn Dickey, Bobby Woods; and a host of other relatives.
