Stephen Sizelove Obituary
Fayetteville, AR—Stephen H. Sizelove, age 86 of Fayetteville, AR and formerly Elwood, IN, died April 29, 2020 in Arakansa. He was born on Aug. 9, 1933 in Elwood, IN to Clinton and Ruth Sizelove. Steve was a 1951 graduate of Willkie High School in Elwood. He served in the U.S. Army and later attended Ball State University and Purdue University. Steve married Linda Murphy, on June 26, 1960. Steve owned Sizelove Construction Company in Elwood for 45 years. He and Linda also formerly owned the 22nd Street Hardware Store in Elwood. His passions included biking, sailing, snow skiing, art, and designing homes. In retirement, Steve and Linda moved to Augusta, GA to live closer to their daughter, Laura and their grandchildren. Later, in 2015, Steve and Linda moved to Fayetteville, AR to live closer to Amy and her family.
Steve is survived by two daughters, Laura Sizelove of Augusta, GA and Amy (Rick) Sorrell of Fayetteville, AR; sister, Valarie Charnstrom (formerly Alberta Fettig) of Bend, OR; 6 grandchildren, Alex Sorrell, Kate Sorrell, Hannah Farmer, Trey Farmer, Spencer Farmer and Gabriella Farmer; and several special nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his wife in 2017; his parents; and 3 brothers, John "Dwight" Sizelove, Gene Sizelove, and Fred Sizelove.
A private funeral will be on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Elwood. Memorials to Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR at www.givetocircle.org. Online condolence: copherfeslermay.com.

Amy and Laura, I am very sorry for your loss. Your dad and mom and family were so welcoming and encouraging to our high school group that got to hang out at your house in those days. As decades have gone by, I understand more and more how important that was to us all at that impressionable time in our lives. I'll always remember and appreciate that. Until last evening, I was in hopes of attending the cemetery today, but truly regret, because of the above, that I was unable to work it out. Again, so sorry for your loss and agree with one of the others that the obituary was a very nice commemoration of your dad. Peace and good memories of your dad are in our family's thoughts and prayers for you.

We are so sorry that you have lost your father. Steve was such a nice person, in high school I remember him then and after and can honestly say he was a class-act in school and a real gentleman to be with. Both he and your mother, Linda were such good citizens of Elwood and I will always remember working with your mother to build a new library in Elwood, she was very dedicated, with your dad's full support. I know you will miss them. God bless you, Laura and Amy and your families. You will always be fortunate to have proud memories to look back on.

Hello Amy and Laura, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I always had good times with your mother and father staying overnight at Aunt Lindas house. Your father was a good man. He and Merle , Marion were the best of friends. Some of the best times I had in my life were at my Aunt Graces house with you two and your mother.
