Tiffany,
One year has gone by and it seems like just yesterday, however our hearts will always feel the pain. Your big blue eyes and your soft smile we have not seen in a while however the memories will live on forever. Love and MISS you dearly

Tiff, it's been a year now since you were taken from all of us. I can still hear you bubbly laughter in my head and I keep that close to my heart everyday. I pray that you know just how much you are loved, and missed. We live everyday differently now all because of you. Some bad, some for the better, but I would trade all the good things just to have you back here with your friends and family. Looking back, I wish we could of changed so many things, and I will always have that regret in my heart. Your beautiful picture hangs right above my computer and I am always looking at you, remembering you as you were in that picture with your sis's. You are forever in our hearts.

To Tiffany's entire family I'm very sorry for your loss. Even though Tiff was at our house alot the week prior and I drove her home several times that week or picked Matt and bobby up from the apartments My last memory of tiff was on the day she had walked all the way from school in freezing weather and had nothing but a sweetshirt on I opened the door and she looked at me and said "Matt asked me to come over." I think she was surprised I was home because it was a week day I smiled and told her to come, in afterall it was freezing outside. Her and Matt watched T.V. and Movies most of the day. I don't know if you read the comment by on of the teenagers describing matt and tiff as the guy/girl version of each other but it made me smile:) I don't know Tiff as well as I should have but I do know her and My son were Good friends and that he cared for her. I understand the pain you are going through, the only comfort I find in any of this is that Matt has his 4 friends and he is not alone. And I'm sure Matt will watch over her as he did on earth. With Love, Matts Mom

To Tiffany, I am sorry, your life ended way too soon Thank you for being a good friend to my son and watch over him for me as I know you will. In a moment and a knock at the door my life changed forever on 2-11 we love and miss all 5 of you. Love, Matts Mom

I cannot properly express the sympathy I feel for you or begin to understand your sadness and pain, but please know that I am thinking of you, Joyce, and praying that you and your loved ones are soon able to smile at the wonderful memories you have of Tiffany and shed only tears of joy for having been blessed with such a beautiful daughter.

We are so terribly sorry for the loss of your daughter...although we do not know you, you are in our thoughts. We are neighbors to the Callahan family in Oak Park.

February 17, 2007

I was at Tiffany's funeral. I knew Katie Merkel but had never met Tiffany. I just felt that the adults in the communtiy should show all families and deceased the respect that they deserved. I was moved to find "Uncle John" at the front of the casket speaking with all of the teens about the consequences of their actions.

I told him that he should print his speech and he replied, "The Beacon would print it once, these kids will carry it forever and repeat it to their friends." In the wake of this tragedy, I am amazed that he could stand and talk to ALL of the kids, I really respect him for that. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the families.

When God calls little children to dwell with HIM above we mortals sometimes question the wisdom fo HIS love. For no heartache compares with the death of one small child, who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to HIS fold, so he picks a rosebud before it can grow old. GOD knows how much we need them, and so HE takes but few to make the land of HEAVEN more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult still somehow we must try, the saddest word mankind knows will always be "Goodbye". So when a little child departs, we who are left behind must realize GOD loves children, Angels are hard to find.
Our prayers are with the entire Urso family during your loss. We are friends with Kim and Erik. May you find comfort with God during these times.
