Bonnita Guth Obituary

Guth, Bonnita June
"Bonnie" to all who knew her, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2016, after a courageous battle with dementia. She was 81. Bonnie was born on June 26, 1935 at home, in Connewango, New York. She attended school in Randolph, New York, and graduated from Randolph Central High School in 1953. She loved to sing and was in the high school chorus during her four years there. Bonnie's senior yearbook horoscope lists her weakness as "Jimmy Guth", ambition "Marry a certain farmer", and was usually found "at home or with Jim". Bonnie did indeed marry Charles James Guth, "Jim", December 12, 1953, in Kennedy New York. They lived there until 1961, when they decided to move their family to Phoenix, Arizona. Over the years, Bonnie worked in a doctor's office, transitioned to working in electronic manufacturing. She worked for Digital Equipment Corporation, where she retired in 1990. Over the years in the Phoenix area, Bonnie raised her family, enjoyed camping and traveling and visiting many places in the USA , with her husband Jim. Bonnie loved to do needlepoint, and she made so many beautiful pictures over the years. She also loved her little dogs, Buster & Furby, and would be seen walking them around the block in Sun City, AZ which is where she lived the past 15 years. Bonnie was preceded in death by husband Jim in 2006, son Randall James in 1955, parents Gordon and Effie Towers, sisters; Jean Towers, Doris Brant, Lois Hale, brothers Roger Towers, and Arnold Towers. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Rhonda Guth (Bruce Stallman), son Keagan, Grandson, Charles James Guth "Jimmy" (Darcie), great-grandchildren; Kylie Rae and James Charles "Lil Jimmy" Guth. She is also survived by daughters Cheryl LaFollette, Stacey Huggins, Phyllis Harding and their families. She is also going to be so missed by many loving friends, including Dick Inglis who was there during the good times and the tough times of this journey with dementia. We also extend many thanks to the Happy Valley Care Home, and Companion Hospice for all they did for Bonnie and our family during these last months. Services will be held Thursday January 5, 2017, Advantage Golden Door Chapel, 11211 W Michigan Avenue, Youngtown, AZ. Visitation will be 10:00AM, with the service following at 11:00AM. Burial will be at West Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W Northern Avenue, Glendale, AZ, following the service. Following the service, Rhonda Guth and Bruce Stallman will welcome family and friends at their home, 4645 W Villa Linda Drive, Glendale, AZ 85310. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arizona Humane Society, 1521 W Dobbins Road, Phoenix, AZ 85041.

Hi Mom, Eight years and still miss you like it was yesterday. I say it every year as the time seems to fly by anymore. Another Christmas is upon us, me dog sitting which keeps me busy and love what I do. Wish you were still with us, but know you are with Dad, so love you and know I will see you again one day.

Hi Mom, 7 years and still miss you so much. Life seems to fly by anymore, here it is 2024, Dad would have been 90 on January 1st. But know you both are together, Keagan with you too and all the "kids". I keep busy traveling and with all my "kids", so all is good. You are never far away in my thoughts and always in my heart. Love & miss you, R

So thinking of you and Dad and the boys too. You are all so missed. I know we will see each other again one day, love you and miss you so much. ❤❤

Mom, it has been 3 years and I miss you still so much. My best friend and the best at tying my apron and you know what I mean. I know Furby is now with you & Dad, and how you would love your special great grand children Kylie Rae & Lil Jimmy. He looks so much like Dad when he was small. Just wanted you to now how I love & miss you both. But I know I have the best guardian angels I could ever want. RIP
