Bruce Barton Obituary
62, of Payson, AZ passed away on August 19, 2015. Bruce is survived by his parents Bruce and Kathryn Barton, wife, Brenda, daughters Lisa Reagan and Amora Mueller, brothers John and Andrew and wife Charlotte, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy and is a veteran of the Viet Nam era. Bruce met the love of his life at a leadership conference in Scottsdale and they later married in traditional Arizona territorial attire in Tombstone, AZ. Bruce was a grassroots Republican activist who worked passionately to promote Republican causes. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 PM with a Scripture Service at 7:00 PM, Monday, August 24, 2015 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at St.
George Catholic Church, 300 E. 16th Avenue, Apache Junction, AZ. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ.

My condolences to the friends and family of Bruce Barton. Bruce and I served together in the Navy on USS Albert David, and he was a very good navigator. We stood watches on the bridge of the ship at sea. He would navigate and I would conn the ship. He always kept track of where we were, and warned of any dangers. I suppose he was like that in civilian life, after the Navy, too.
We have a saying in the Navy when someone leaves us or passes away. We wish them "Fair Winds and Following Seas." Wind to fill your sails, and the seas pushing you along. I'm certain he will be remembered by many with whom he served.

I am very sorry for the families loss. Please overcome these difficult times with the hope God has given us through his word for the near future. John 5:25-29 gives us an overview of what he has planned for humanity. These verses can bring hope and peace to you and your family.
