Kutach, Daniel Blase
age 85, passed May 31, 2009 in Gilbert with his family by his bedside, after a long struggle with illness. Daniel was born August 30, 1923 in Hallettsville, Texas to Victor and Julia Kutach. After graduating from Brahma High in Hallettsville, TX, Dan served as a navigator in the US Air Force. His last assignment was at Davis-Monthan Air Force base near Tucson, Arizona. He went on to graduate from the University of Arizona with an accounting degree. With his degree, he went into banking. He was a comptroller in charge of opening new bank branches. In 1982, Dan and his wife, Yvonne, formed an accounting and tax business (DBK Accounting and Tax Service in Sun Lakes, Arizona) where he prepared taxes for many people. His very successful business will be continued on by his wife and granddaughter. Dan will be remembered by his beautiful smile, caring personality, quiet and loving ways. His smiles have filled hearts of his friends and family, and he will never be forgotten. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne; daughters, Mary Julia Dockery and Peggy LaShier, son Daniel Kutach, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dan was a member of the Sun Lakes Rotary Club and of St. Steven's Catholic Church. Family and friends are invited to visit after 9:00 AM and to attend the 10:00 AM Funeral Mass Wednesday (TODAY) BOTH at St. Steven's Catholic Church, 24827 S. Dobosn Road, Sun Lakes. Arrangements entrusted to Valley of the Sun Mortuary and interment at Valley of the Sun Cemetery will follow the church services.
