Darwin Sheldon Obituary
88, passed away on August 8, 2009. He was born March 22, 1921 in North Loup, Nebraska to Louis and Estella Sheldon. He was married to Marjorie Nauenburg (deceased), from 1941 to 1977 and is survived by their three children, Sherry (Larry) Morris, Sandra (Larry) Scott and Gary (Maria) Sheldon, eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grand children, and two great-great grandchildren. He was married to Helen Clark (nee Nauenburg, deceased), from 1979 to 1999. He is survived by his wife of nine years, Shirley Sheldon, and her children, Dan (Cathe) Phillips, Brian Phillips, Carol (Tim) Welborn, and three grandchildren. He is a US Army, WWII Veteran and a forty-five year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. His carpentry career began working with his father and brothers in North Loup where he also sang and played saxophone and clarinet during the dance band era. He moved to Phoenix in 1958. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 14th, at Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale. Donations to the Alzheimer's Association are welcome.
