David Bender Obituary
83, of Glendale, Arizona passed away on January 14, 2016. Dave was highly involved in the community. He served in the US Air Force, he was a member of the Confederate Air Force, Lions Club, Aladdin Shrine 65, Arizona Lodge No. 2, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Phoenix Cursillo Movement. He was a beloved father to his 6 children: Pam (Greg), Greg (Cindy), Tim (deceased), Kevin (Meri), Matt (Jennifer), and Tara (Robby). He loved and adored his 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Saint Louis the King Catholic Church on January 20th at 10:30 AM. Dave will be interned at the VA Cemetery following the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Maggie's Place.

Dave has been part of my family since my brother John was a boy. They remained friends throughout their lives. I am happy to have spent time with him when he was in Columbus last summer for his 65th high school reunion. We talked our last time in November. He had great stories to tell me about adventures with my brother. My husband went to Aquinas High School with him and bought several cars from him when Dave was here in Columbus. Thanks for the beer you left for me at Planks!! Sincere sympathy to his family.
