David Michael Pain

Scottsdale - passed away peacefully on May 20, 2018 with family at his side. Born August 10, 1941 in Cincinnati, OH, to Fred

and Marcella Pain, Mike was the last of six children. He attended grade school and high school at St. Paul's in Marion, Indiana and college at St. Joseph in Rennesler, IN. He then moved to Scottsdale where he worked in TV and radio and was a private investigator. Mike had many passions. A published author, he was a master story teller and would play Bridge any hour of the day. He enjoyed taking vacations on a moment's

notice, hosting formal Christmas dances and annual horseback trips, playing the piano and watching Notre Dame football. Mike loved his Catholic faith and

attended daily Mass. He is survived by his wife, Judy O'Kon Pain, daughters Katy Soukup and Tracey Benson, 7 grandchildren, siblings Fred Pain Jr., Mary Kay Lawler, Natalie Yohler, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son David, brother Jack, sister Jane Ann Dobie. A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Scottsdale, Tuesday , May 29 at 10:00 a.m.
