Diane Pilon Obituary
53, passed away on January 15, 2011 in Torrance, CA after a courageous six month battle with liver cancer. Diane moved to California 28 years ago from Phoenix, AZ. She enjoyed working, traveling, living life to the fullest and above all spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Dionicia (Adrian) Caudillo and 4 grandchildren, siblings Peggy Galindo, Tony, John and Marcy Ribera, boyfriend Zack Martin, as well as numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in the deaths of her mother Dionicia Vasquez and brother Glen Pilon. Diane will always be loved and will stay in our hearts forever. Visitation will be Friday, January 21, 2011 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Rosary at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 9 am at Green Hills Mortuary and Memorial Park, 27501 South Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. To Diane's family. Diane and I went to school together and went out clubing along with Peggy. This was years ago. In June of 2010 Diane contacted me through the legacy guest book, after she heard of my brother passing away. We talked several times and we emailed each other several times. She told me she was diagnoised with cancer. I am so glad we were able to reconnect after 30 plus years. I have wonderful memories of her, Peggy, and Glen growing up. Diane was a wonderful loving and caring person. God bless!

I'm so sorry to learn that you've left us, but I know you're now an angel in heaven smiling down and watching over us. I hope Donut will be ok. I'll always treasure the happy times we had while we worked at SBPC. Of course I remember the fun crazy trips we made to the Kern River and also to Big Bear for skiing. You, Donut, and your friends have given me 1000's of wonderful memories and each time I came back to the States I looked for you, just so we could get together, say cheers, and enjoy a few beers. Someday, we will all have to meet again, all your family and friends, and celebrate the gift of hapiness and fun that you gave us. Until then, I will miss you dearly but I know you're now in a better place where I hope you find peace and can liven life up. Take care my friend.

Diane, I am glad you were the one I had some of the best times of my life with. I will never forget the wonderful things you did for me. I know you shared some of your most precious secrets with me because you knew I would never tell anyone or judge you. It took me a long time to realize just how important I was to you. But I know now and I will always hold that trust you had in me very close to my heart. I just saw you this past May and I could see just how much you love me. Thank you for spending time with me and showing me that you were the sister I always knew I had. I can't begin to mention all the wonderful times we had or the laughs we shared because there are just too many. I was blessed with a very special connection to our mom and I know now we had one too. Diane, you are the strongest woman I know and I remember how we used to laugh because we were alot alike in some of our ways. I am proud of that. I know you are in heaven having a Michelob light right now with all the other angels and they are happy you are there. I know mom is with you and there is no more pain. It's always hard to hear a Friend has passed...Dio, Peggy & Families my Sympathy and condolences to you at this time of sorrow on such a Precious Loss.
Diane was my Childhood friend, we played quite a bit at her Tia Francisca's house, we would ride the horse, play tag, swim in the irrigation canals, climb the apricot trees, play hide and seek and chase the chickens until her Aunt Francisca would come out to discipline us for it, we would do it again as soon as she went back inside...so much fun there...always something to do. I remember back then Diane's beautiful sweet smile and her wonderful deep laugh, always joking but wouldn't take anything too serious...what for, we were kids.
I remember vividly how she loved her younger brothers so much..they were so cute. I seen her a couple of times after 25 years at her Grand-fathers church cooking & selling Menudo with her Sister Peggy & Aunt Frances & Aunt Mary, they had the coolest wood stove there warming up the Menudo. Those were fun times seeing Friends from the past at that cute Church, it was like a reunion going there since we would also see her cousins the Vasquez girls that lived a few feet away.
Let her Memories fill your heart and keep you going through this time of sorrow. She will always be in my heart and in my great Memories of a Life time.

To all of Diane's family: She was my "bubbly" cousin that we did not see often but I was always happy to see her unique smile and receive her hugs. It is very sad that we lost her so young but she is no longer enduring the pain in her body. My deep condolences to Peggy, Donut and the rest of the family that were so dear to her.
