Sharon,I was so saddemed to learn of Donn's passing, and I am so very, very sorry for your loss.
I remember just two days before your wedding, Tom called upon Donn for help when our car broke down in the middle of the California desert. Donn didn't hesitate for a second to come to the rescue! He was just that kind of guy. Just know you are not alone in your grief -- that there are many others who are also mourning his loss as I am sure he touched so many lives in such a positive way.
Your lives were blessed by each other. In the eyes of your friends, you were the perfect couple, and we all knew you would be together forever. I hope and pray you will find peace and joy in all of the remembrances of your life together and a life well-lived. Please call on me if I can help in any way.

There are many, many people that have the exact same sentiment and stories to tell that Scott Cumberledge wrote so accurately.
I too was a member of that "Motley Crew" of lifelong friends that were welcomed into the Fitch home day after day, week after week, year after year. They were absolutely my second family.
Mr Fitch was a kind, generous and funny man and one of my favorite people in the whole world. He would do anything for you and clearly found his own happiness in doing for others and making people smile.
I am also grateful that my children got to spend time with Mr Fitch. Lunch with Donn & Sharon at Macayo's last summer was absolutely the highlight of our entire trip.
I love the Fitch family dearly and will forever miss Mr Fitch's infectious chuckle as he greeted me with a big hug and a "Hey, Kiddo!"
The whole Baedke family sends our love, support and prayers to Sharon, Donn and Laurie. Your husband/dad touched a lot of lives in his lifetime, and I know you are going to hear many of those stories in the weeks to come.
I will be forever grateful that Donn Fitch, Sr. was a part of my life.

Mr and Mrs Fitch were like second parents to me...In high school, I practically lived in their home when I wasn't in mine.
Everyone who met Mr. Fitch, loved Mr. Fitch. He was that kind of man. The world is at a loss today because he is no longer with us.
Mr. and Mrs. Fitch were always together and always welcomed the group of us into their home. We were a motley crew but they both made us all feel like we were the most important guests in the world.
I am thrilled that my children got to meet Mr. Fitch. My daughters, when I told them of his passing, were both so sad and remembered how he took them out on the paddleboat at the New Year's Party when they didn't know anyone. That was the kind of man Mr. Fitch was. If you needed anything, he would give it to you. He was a great, caring, friendly and loving man and will be missed in this world.
My whole family sends our prayers out to Mrs. Fitch, Donnie and Laurie!
