She was a very exceptional boss. In the annual member's meeting, they would turn it into a banquet and it was nice food back in the 80's. She was something else! She was good at her job and highly respected. We miss her dearly.

Thought we always lived many miles apart, I was always in touch with her through her parents and letters before cell phones allowed us to talk with each other.

I had the opportunity to work with Dorothy in the Budget Office at Luke AFB in the late 80's and early 90's. She was a tough lady and a strict boss but I wouldn't have been the leader I became without knowing her. Just her mere appearance commanded respect. I always admired her and am sad she is gone.

Dorothy was a very special lady. A great mentor and leader. She also had a great sense of humor. Who will ever forget Dorothy and Lois singing 'I like to go bowling with my friend Bert'? I enjoyed many car trips traveling to state YABA meetings together. And, getting lost with her too. Miss you Dorothy!

Dorothy,"aka" Big D!! My heart is feeling heavy and sad. However, the stories you shared with me while we drank our vanilla shakes will forever stay with me. I am sorry we never had the opportunity to scrapbook your pictures and news clipping, I was looking forward to many more of your stories. Thank you for not only being a great boss, but also a great mentor and friend.

It was my good fortune to have the opportunity to serve on the WIBC Board of Directors. She was a very good mentor when it came to figures and I learned a great deal just observing and listening when she had something to say....we had some great times. She was a very special private lady, but a very good friend. Unfoirtunately, when she retired from the Board, she did not continue to attend the convention and enjoy the WIBC Family socials...we missed her. Rest in peace, Dorothy. You always knew how to run your life, and you knew when to retire.
