Eis, Elizabeth Lorraine
84, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away on May 27, 2009. Elizabeth was born on July 27, 1924 in Vancouver, BC, Canada to parents Albert and Jennie Greenhalgh. She graduated from Duncan High School in 1934 and served in the Royal Canadian Navy 1941-44. Elizabeth married Russell Leroy Eis on April 16, 1949. Beth and Russ enjoyed a wonderful marriage of 60 years which included many happy times. They traveled the world, including England, Russia, Italy, New Zealand and circled South America on the Queen Mary II. They even sailed by themselves to Hawaii in a 27 ft sailboat. Elizabeth is survived by her husband Russ, a sister and a brother, sons David and companion Patty, Ronald and companion Debbie, Richard and his wife Cynthia, seven grandchildren, and one great-grand-daughter. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 11:00 am at Bethany Presbyterian Church. 7702 N 35 Ave, Phoenix AZ 85051 (602)-841-8507. Beth will be greatly missed by family and friends.
