Eva Garcia Obituary
Eva was born on March 8, 1926 in Wesleco Texas to John and Bessie Karkula. She is preceded in death by her sister Helen and two brothers Richard and Harold. She is survived by former husband Joe A. Garcia, brothers (Martin and Ernie), sisters (Melva, Anna, Gracie and Delia). Four children (Joe Jr. (Idona), Harold James (Betty), Jacob (Cecilia) and Joyce Vela (Steve), ten grandchildren Manuel, Jason, Andy, Javier, Jalin, Jacob Jr., Herlinda Ortega, Stephanie, Laurie and Steve Vela and eleven great grand children. Eva is a long time resident of Chandler. She retired as an employee from the Chandler Community Hospital after 27 years of service. She also was a member of the Saint Mary's Holy Rosary Sodality. Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 17, 2009 at 6:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. with a Rosary to follow at Queen of Heaven Mortuary Chapel, 1562 E. Baseline Rd. Mesa, AZ. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 18, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 230 W. Galveston St. in Chandler. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Queen of Heaven Mortuary
