Fred Strasser Obituary

Strasser, Fred
Fred Strasser, 56, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on October 23, 2011. He was born Frederick Anthony Strasser III, on April 9, 1955 in Ridley Park, PA. Fred grew up in Glenolden, PA, the 2nd of four children. He completed elementary school at St George and high school at Monsignor Bonner. Fred was drawn to the electronics field and completed education both in Pennsylvania and in Arizona. He graduated from RETS Electronic School in Upper Darby, PA and was a veteran of the United States Army. After moving to Arizona, he graduated from Arizona Tech in Phoenix. For most of Fred's early career, he was an electronics engineering technician for Motorola Government Electronics Group, in Scottsdale, AZ. For the remainder of his career, he was an environmental engineer for Maricopa County Bureau of Air Pollution Control and the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality in Phoenix, AZ. Fred always enjoyed working with equipment and had a natural talent for troubleshooting. Fred is survived by his wife Cindy and son Jacob, both of Scottsdale, AZ and daughter Kristin of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by his parents, Fred and Eleanore Strasser, of Sun City, AZ and sisters Elizabeth Palidora, Mary Kulp, and Nancy Notte of PA. Fred especially loved traveling, geography, history, and sports. But most of all, he loved his family, and was a devoted husband and father. He will be greatly missed. Memorial services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, in the chapel at Hansen Desert Hills Memorial Park, 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale.
