Gerald Appell Obituary
Gerald "Jerry" Appell, 79, of Phoenix, passed away January 22, 2015. Born in New York City and raised in the Bronx, Jerry moved to Phoenix in 1967 with his wife Isabelle and co-founded Weight Watchers of AZ, Inc. He is survived by daughter Felice, son Glenn, daughter-in-law Tran Tran, and 2 grandsons Harrison and Bennett. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Sinai Mortuary, 4538 N. 16th Street in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jerry's memory are requested to ASU Gammage, (checks payable to ASU Foundation), P.O. Box 2260, Tempe, AZ 85281 or Jewish National Fund, 1645 E. Missouri Avenue, Suite #110, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
