I'd met my Uncle Jim only once in my life when he came up to Michigan to visit with my Mother, JoAnne, as she was in failing health in 1989. My Sisters and I were just young children then but I remember him being very friendly and warm in heart. I have seen a picture of us taken that day many times and have always felt as if he and looked alot alike and I seem to get my brains from my mother's side of the family as well. Uncle Jim, I know the Lord, and I know you guys are getting along great! Aunt Jeannie and Grandpa Joe, I love you guys.

Too sad!! Really too sad to loose a collegue and a friend like Jim.
A person with whom I shared the passion for aircraft and flying.
During the many years we have worked together, we enjoyed very good time. Today, my memory goes back to those moments keeping Jim real and alive. That is how I will always remember him.

Knowing Jim was a true pleasure. Having worked as an admin in marketing I can say he was one of the best. He was so professional yet a very approachable, fun person. He was a wonderful mentor to many. Most importantly, he was an example to us all on how to live life to the fullest. Jeanne, my deepest condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Remember his spirit will always be with you.

Jim was a great friend and we worked together at Honeywell over the years. We had the exact same Harley and road together up to Jerome one weekend - he rode like he flew. I also remember riding out toward Lake Pleasant one morning and spotted Jim in the practice area. I pulled over and watched him for about 20 minutes - he was in his element there - I wish I could fly like that.
Jeanne I know you will miss him dearly as we all will. My thoughts are with you.

I had the pleasure and honor to work for and with Jim at Honeywell for several years. His discipline and ethics have been an inspiration to me, both at work and in my personal life. I will always remember one particular discussion early in my career while I was working for Jim and arrived late for work after a late night group event the previous evening. Jim calmly told me “It’s difficult to fly with the Eagles in the morning if you wallow with the Turkeys at night”. Those words have been an inspiration to me for the past 20 years. Today, I know that Jim is soaring with the Eagles. He has influenced many and his memory will live on for years.

My deepest condolences to Jeanne and his family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jim was one of the first co-worker's I met when I started at Sperry in 1982. He was always a true friend, and absolutely loved his flying! We had many good times together both at work and outside of the office. It's a sad day when things like this happen. You will always be remembered!! Godspeed.

Jim was a True Gentlemen. I worked for many years with him, and was fortunate enough to spent time out of the office with him as well. Jim was always approachable and open to discuss anything with you. I will always remember the picture of the red bi-plane in his office which was upside down and with him in the pilots seat. I used always say, how in the heck do you do that kind of stuff Jim? In the end Jim was doing what he truly loved. Jim will be missed, but will always be in my memories. God Speed Jim.

TO FAMILY:

God has promised under His righteous Kingdom that soon only the meek ones will inherit the earth. (Psalms 37:9-11,29) And the Scriptures also assures us that the satisfying conditions in Paradise will not be marred by disabilities or sickness, or be cut short by death: “No resident will say: ‘I am sick.’” (Isaiah 33:24)

My sincere condolences for the tragic loss of Jim. I worked with Jim for years at Honeywell and Jim was always an outstanding resource and set the standard for class, character, commitment and integrity. Jim was truly a great person and will be missed for his contributions to aviation, but more importantly, his contribution to making the world a better place.
