She was born on July 23, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York and later graduated from Muncie Central High School.
Jeri worked for Muncie Street Department for thirty-five years, prior to her retirement.
She loved shopping and good conversation. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Jeff Howard (Lisa) and Chris Clapper; along with her grandson, Ryan Howard.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026 in St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Animal Rescue Fund (A.R.F.) 1209 W. Riggin Road, Muncie, Indiana 47303.

I have known Jeri for or many years. You could not help but like her
I have spent many hours talking politics, family and numerous other topics and you always knew where she stood. Rest in peace.

When we were in high school, straight hair was popular. Jeri had beautiful curly hair but wanted it straight. We found out how the beauty shop did it, so we bought a perm and we proceeded to straighten her hair. It worked! Jeri didn´t have a clue how to work with straight hair, so the next morning she showed up on the bus with a scarf on her head which she never took off that day. She was so much fun, despite the life she had to live. RIP dear friend. Cookie
