James Evans Obituary
He was born on October 6, 1941 in Muncie, the son of Charles and Gertrude (Uhrich) Evans and graduated from Muncie Central High School. James served his country honorably in the US Army.
James worked for Borg Warner for 30 years until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed tinkering around in his shop, playing cards and fishing.
Surviving are his wife of over 50 years, Barbara F. Evans of Muncie; son, Coy Heatherly, Jr. of Parker City; grandson, Coy M. Heatherly of Parker City; great-granddaughter, Capri Dawn Heatherly; nephews, Charles Terry, Eric Terry, Evan Terry, Rick Wages and Tim Wages; and two nieces, Becky Johnson and Judy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Tara Pugh; three brothers, Charles Evans, Tom Evans and Don Evans; and four sisters, Helen Evans, Mary Ellen Evans, Marjorie Wages and Betty Terry.
Cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
