Clulow, James "Jim" Joseph
80, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on December 30, 2016. Jim was born in Sioux City, Iowa, to the late Joseph Clulow and Edith Gustafson on September 3, 1936.
Jim graduated from Central High School in Sioux City, IA. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps for 3 years. In 1960, he joined the Phoenix Police Department and concurrently earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice at Glendale Community College. In 1980, he retired as a Police Sergeant. Later, he owned a property management company and became a District Asset Protection Investigator for Mervyn's Department Stores in Phoenix, AZ, Grand Junction, CO, and Colorado Springs, CO. Jim was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police (Phoenix Lodge #2), the Elk's Lodge, and the Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Scottsdale, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his sister, JoAnn Clulow. He leaves a loving wife of 32 years, Nila Clulow, daughters Brenna Ginzel and Sharla Willard, step-daughters Marla Farney Espinosa and Carla Farney Thrift, and 4 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in the near future at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scottsdale, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice of the Valley in Jim's name, is preferred and encouraged.
