Jeff was an elementary school classmate and friend for a few years in Massapequa. My family moved and we were never in touch again, despite my occasional efforts later on to locate him. Others have mentioned Jeff's sense of humor. Upon elementary school graduation, we all wrote notes and signed each other's autograph books -- usually things like "remember me always" or "good luck in high school." In mine, Jeff wrote "wash your hands and wash your face, here comes the nurse and there's mud on your face." Funny, I guess, or just weird.

Jeff has been a good friend since the early 80s, and an occasional adversary since 2010. He called me 'corporate' whenever we chatted. I am grateful for the "retirement" lunch I shared with him and Valerie, his devoted paralegal and friend, in February 2015. I was so happy that he and Peggy were going to be able to fully enjoy the best of retirement together, "the good life." I am deeply saddened that I was not aware of his passing until today (5/7), long after his memorial. We had mutual friends and acquaintances, and would have shared stories about the many times Jeff made us laugh. My fondest condolences to you, Peggy. God bless you.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Peggy and the Feller/Jackson family. The loss of Jeff is such an untimely tragedy. Jeff was definitely a one of kind personality. He had the best sense of humor and I loved receiving his phone calls (I managed one of their properties)... it was always first thing in the morning... Usually the calls started out with "What... you don't like us anymore??".
I know that Jeff looked forward to living out his retirement to the fullest... especially at the beach. Peggy and Jeff were a wonderful match and they complimented each other's style so well. Two of the kindest people I ever worked with/for. I considered them both good friends. Jeff will be greatly missed by anyone who knew him. I am so so saddened by his loss...

I had the honor of staying with Jeffrey and Peggy in their home just weeks before he passed. The comfort and gratitude each felt for the other was striking and made me feel blessed to be in their presence. I loved Jeffrey's dry sense of humor and the way he took such good care of Peggy, showering her with care, co-parenting their combined families, and taking in everything with a half smile that let you know there was a lot more going on in his head than he ever said. I will miss the opportunity to know him in his retirement years and I wish Peggy and their children and grandchildren peace at this difficult time. Sharon Benedict
