Scott, JoAnn
February 12, 1926 - May 3, 2013. JoAnn Scott, 87, of Casa Grande died on May 3, 2013 after a brief illness. JoAnn was born on February 12, 1926 in Muskogee, OK. She was raised in Wagoner, OK where she graduated from high school. During WWII she worked in a local munitions plant. In 1946 she moved with her parents to Willcox, AZ. It was there that she met her future husband Bill, while dining with her mother at the Western Tavern. On September 16, 1947 JoAnn and Bill began a marriage that lasted 63 years. Living in a small travel trailer they followed the pipeline construction through New Mexico and Arizona, while Bill was employed by El Paso Natural Gas. Eventually with their two sons they found their way to Casa Grande. JoAnn was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in her family. Survivors include two sons Colin M. (Verlinda) of Gilbert, and Craig D. (Linda) of Casa Grande, four grandchildren Sandra Scott Gent (Darren) and Cheryl Scott Groat (James) of Gilbert, Kelly Scott and Bill Scott (Shamarie) of Casa Grande. JoAnn also had seven great grandchildren. JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband Colin L."Bill" Scott. Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers the family asked that memorial contributions be made to St. Peters Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 10606, Casa Grande, AZ 85130 or Valley Humane Society, P.O. Box 10480, Casa Grande, AZ 85130.

JoAnn, Thank you for being such a kind friend. I'm sure you understand I'll miss you very much. But, we'll be seeing each other later... I send you and Bill "LOVE". Glad you two get to be together again. I Love You.
