First Birthday In Heaven John, it's been a year since you left us, It seems like only yesterday at times. Sure wish we could pick up the phone and talk or have dinner together. Your absence has left such a void in all our lives, we will never forget the happiness, love and caring you brought into our lives. You will always be alive in our hearts, and remembered every day. You were always a big part of all of our lives, and will always be. I still can't accept that anything could take down such a big man. But it's not suprising that God would call on you at only 48. He only takes the best. I guess you were, and always will be remembered as a "Rock Solid" kind of guy. Until we meet again in heaven. Love always and forever. All your Family.

Being Lisa's Best Friend i knew John for 8 years. Those years full of memories. We were known as the McKids, Dumb and Dumber, What a duo, and much much more. I am writing in this book a year and a half after his passing and 1 month after his beloved daughter Lisa's passing. What comfort to know that she was guided into the gates of heaven by her father John. She missed him greatly and had a hard time with his passing. John was a great father and made the best "Shave Soup". He was so worried about us always catching a cold and wearing our socks outside. We never knew why. I love John and i can't wait to see him in heaven with his Beautiful Daughter. What a great second dad for me. I love you Paula.

My darling nephew, Godchild, you have always been a man to be admired. In our home we speak of you often, always with love and affection. Although you are no longer with us, we think of you, talk about you and find you in our prayers. You will never be forgotten. You're missed so much by so many. There was always something magical about you. We loved your smile,sence of humor, easy laughter, outstanding courage and the genuine love you brought to us so often.
