John Lampley Obituary
2008. Born January 9, 1923 in Franklin County, Illinois to Logan and Pauline Lampley, John was a WWII Veteran having served as a Sergeant Major in the Army aboard the SS Santa Isabel.
He traveled the South Seas including the islands of Hawaii, The Philippines, Iwo Jima and the
Carolinas. John was predeceased by his loving wife of 66 years, Ruth, in 2006. He is survived by his daughters, Karen Lampley, Diane Ayers (Charles K.) grandsons, James C. and David J., and great grandson, Cameron J. Ayers. John set a great example for his family with his courage, strength and humor. A Memorial service will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix on Thursday, February 21st at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014. Messinger Mortuary assisted the family.

Family,
It has been an honor to have known your Father and Mother. Through the all the years that I've known your family, I only wish that everyone could experience what truely loving and devoted parents you were blessed to have. I can't imagine the loss you are feeling and I am so sorry to hear of your Fathers passing. I hope you may find comfort in knowing that your Mom and Dad are together for eternity.
