John Tryon

Hyder - John Tryon, 75, of Hyder, Arizona died January 14, 2019. He was born in Tempe Arizona and was one of ten children born to Harold Tryon and Edith Oral Ferrin Tryon. He went to school in Tempe Arizona before the family moved to Arkansas. John was a master mechanic and life-long farmer. He was happiest while working on his farm and visiting his family.

Back in 1968 John was employed by Virgil Merrill in Hyder, AZ and has farmed there ever since. He served in the Arizona National Guard for 4 years from 1968 to 1972. John owned his own farm for most of his life and he worked every day on his farm until the day of his death.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Charlotte of 24 years; his daughter Cindy and her husband James, their 4 children Abbie, Clinton, Curtis, and Travis. His son John Randall Tryon and his wife Shannon, their 2 children Kayla and Johnny. His step-son Charles Timmons and his wife Katie, their 3 daughters Olivia, Carley, and Trudy. His daughter Tammy Tryon Valdez and her husband Rigoberto, their 4 children Rigoberto (RJ), Beatrice, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel. His step-son Joseph Timmons and his wife Christine, their 3 children Christopher, Emily, and Joseph. His step-son Jacob Timmons and his wife Kimbie, their 3 children Kylie, Charley, and Andrew. His step-daughter Charlotte Barajas and her husband Ricardo, their 3 children Ethan, Hope and Thalia. John had 22 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Merlin, Alan, and Susan.

A celebration of life will be held on February 2nd, 2019 at 10 am in the Aldridge Center, Dateland School, Dateland, AZ. Please wear your Arizona sports teams' attire. Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Cardinals and Arizona State University attire only please.
