Barraza, Jose
was born on December 18, 1944 in Glendale, AZ to Amada & Antonio Barraza & his brothers & sisters, Arsenio, Maria, Gustavo, Tony, Jessie (Tita), Rosalia (Chalia), & Bernardo (Bernie). At a very young age, Pepe began working at the Suncrest Poultry Farm where he met his wife, Ramona. They married on March 21, 1963 & made Phoenix their home. In 1970, Pepe & Ramona bought their first home in Maryvale, Arizona & raised their four children there. In 1975, he began working for Butler Paper Company (now Unisource) & worked their 35 years & was planning to retire at the end of this year. He enjoyed spending time with his family, barbequing, listening to country music & was a big sports fan. He is survived by his wife, Ramona, his four sons, Joe, Jr., Edward, Vicente, & Johnny. Joe was blessed with six grandchildren, Joey, Antonio, Catalina, Alexis, Raquel, & Little Johnny & three great grandchildren (Baby Joey, Aubrey, and Joshua). He is also survived by his brothers, Tony & Gustavo, sisters, Tita, Chalia, & many nephews & nieces. Visitation & Rosary will be held Tuesday, June 7th from 5-8 pm at Abel Funeral Services, 1627 N. 51st Avenue Phx, AZ. Funeral mass will be held on June 8th at 10:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 909 East Washington St., followed by interment at St. Francis Cemetery 2033 N. 48th St. Phx, AZ.
