Marilyn Ellen Chartrand

Marilyn Ellen Chartrand of Paradise Valley & Prescott, AZ. passed away on Feb. 24, 2003, at the age of 76, after a bout with cancer. Marilyn was raised in Englewood, NJ. She attended the Dwight School in her hometown & studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, Bennington College & graduated from the U of A in 1949. Her early ties to Az. started at the original Jokake School, Scottsdale AZ. She was the daughter of Victor J. & Ellen Chartrand & the beloved sister of Victor Chartrand, Jr. of LaQuinta, CA, & Suzanne Santaella of Santa Fe, NM. Her great grandfather was the famous painter, Esteban Chartrand. Marilyn was a member of Junior League & supported numerous philanthropic organizations. Widely traveled, her hobbies were painting, tap dancing & caring for her pet rabbits. Marilyn had 7 nieces & nephews including Craig Chartrand & Renee McAmis of Chico, CA & John V. Santaella of Garberville, CA. Private services to be held. Those wishing to honor Marilyn may send a donation to the humane society or your favorite charity
