Mark Andrew Hermosillo, born September 21, 1965, passed away peacefully with his husband Steve Ross by his side on December 12, 2020. In addition to his husband Steve, Mark is survived by his mother, Ophelia Hermosillo and sisters, AnnMarie and Teresa (Karl Horne). Mark is preceded in death by his father, Rudy Hermosillo. He also leaves behind his beloved rescue dogs. Mark was born in Mesa, AZ and grew up attending Queen of Peace Catholic Grade School. He graduated from Seton Catholic High School in 1983. He always strived to excel in academics. Mark was Student Body President his senior year, member of the National Honor Society and very talented in everything he encountered. He moved to Los Angeles to pursue his goal of becoming a fashion designer. Mark graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design in California. He was always artistic and had an eye for fashion and design. He transitioned to interior design when he and Steve opened their own interior design firm, Hermosillo & Ross, in 1998. Mark's warm sense of humor delighted all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by family, friends and relatives.

Services as follows: On Tuesday, 12/22/20, 4 pm Visitation/5 pm Rosary at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 141 N. Macdonald, Mesa, AZ 85201. On Wednesday, 12/23/20, 11 am Funeral Mass at Queen of Peace Catholic Church and 12:15 pm Burial Service will follow at City of Mesa Cemetery, 1212 N. Center Street, Mesa, AZ 85201. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mark's memory may be made to a dog rescue organization close to his heart: The Brittany Foundation, PO Box 738, Acton, CA 93510-0738. Mortuary is Meldrum's in Mesa, AZ.
