I also knew Phil from youth group at Cathedral of the Valley in Phoenix. When my sister, Nina, told me of his passing...it hit me so hard. Phil was one of the sweetest, kindest, dearest, loving and GOOFY guys I've ever known. I had been looking for him for a few months, then to find out that he passed.... needless to say, I was in shock and am grieving. Phil is in God's presence now, but those here on earth are missing him greatly! One day, my friend, we will see you again! In the meantime...keep God laughing! I know you can! I, too, will keep the family in my prayers. Much love....

I'm so sorry to hear of Phil's passing. We went to the same church youth group in high school. We would hang out all the time and listen to music. He introduced me to Dokken. I've always thought of him when I would hear one of their songs.

He was such a dear friend, a real sweetheart.

My heart goes out to his family. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Phil,
I wish I had gotten to know you a lot better. Your generosity and encouragement helped this "old fa_t" to pick up his guitar after a 25 year hiatus, and start playing again. You will remain in my thoughts. It has been my priveledge to have known you.

Remembrance of this life with Phil:

Strength, Pride, Passion, Friendship, Artist, Leader, Laughter... Man what a great laugh. He left us too soon, but is already busy with his next project and the future plans that were laid out for him.

Our prayers are always with you Mandy, Kira, and family. May you find the courage that he would want you go forward with, and always remember the fight he fought for you was done out of nothing less than love.

To the Rowe family:
Our heart felt condolences. Phil was a friend and collegue with a personality that just smoothed thing out. Never afraid to try something new and always happy to discuss life, music and work.
My time working with Phil was short but the magnitude of his impact on both Shelly and myself is just now starting to come into perspective.

Our thoughts and prayer go out the all of those family and friends woven into Phil's life.

Warmest Regards
Clark & Shelly Spencer

My beautiful son, my heart aches for the pain and suffering you've gone through the past few years, not only the physical but the emotional as well, knowing your time with Mandy and Kira would be cut short. Your suffering is finally over but ours will go on, until we meet again. And I believe, with all my heart, that you will always be young, you will always be beautiful. Your body will be whole again and you will have eternity to live out your dreams.
I saw you come into this world and was with you as you passed into the next and for that I am thankful. So rest easy my son, your valiant and courageous battle is over, until we meet again, mom.

You fought hard my friend and your loss will be felt throughout this little community that was formed through the power of music. Were it not for RCPM, I might never have known you or your beautiful wife so to them I am forever indebted.

My heart takes comfort in knowing that you are now free from all pain.

A true measure of a man is someone you are always glad to see, someone you are glad to be with, and someone you wish you had more time with.
Mark Twain once said," Endevor to live a life so well, that when you pass, even the undertaker will be sorry."
Phil was all of this and more.
The world may seem the lesser now that he is gone, but his legacy is ours to carry on. Let us rejoice in carrying on his legacy.
Thank you Phil.
You were great.
We will miss you.
We will see you again in Heaven.

Phil,

It is hard to find the words that can help make sense of any of this for me. I am grateful that we were able to make the most of our short time together playing music. Although our friendship started out as simply being band mates, I feel like we really grew close because our lives paralleled so much as we grew from singles to married with kids. It was always good to have someone to bounce ideas off of and to be able to vent frustrations without having to worry about being judged. You were always genuine and your friendship can never be replaced. I'll miss you.

Peace.
Peace in finding a cool quiet to rest and reflect.
Peace in finally being able to set down the hurt of an earthbound body.
Peace for a soul that fought with courage and can now, at last, simply rest.
Peace.

Although I doubt you're doing much resting still. I have no doubt you've already found something to keep you busy on the other side, my friend.

Phil will be greatly missed. He always had such a positive attitude, a genuine smile and an amazingly strong, fighting spirit. He has taught me so much during his struggle and fight with cancer and that is not to take one moment, for granted, that we have on this earth. It is a blessing that he is no longer suffering, but heartbreaking that those he left behind must do the suffering. My heart is with all of you and you are in my prayers.
