I am still in shock that my father in law Russ is gone. My husband Don and I had planned to meet dad and Bette for a small motorhome vacation. I was diagnosed with cancer and the trip was never made. My best memory of Russ is when he and Don first met. Don was pacing the floor waiting for Russ and Jewell to arrive. Don couldn't take to waiting any longer so he got into the car to take a drive. He wasn't gone two minutes when the car flew into the driveway and Don come running into the house like a five year old child who just seen Santa Clause. Don was red in the face, hyperventalating,Smiling, Telling me He's here, he's here. Don was so excited I thought he was going to jump out of his skin. Russ drove into the driveway and I'll never forget the look on both Russ and Don's faces. Jewell and I just stood back while the two of them met each other for the first time. Russ will be missed.

I am the step daughter of Don Myer and I had the chance to meet my grandpa at my parents wedding. The moment that sticks out in my mind is standing next to grandpa while he wrapped me up in his Tux jacket because it was raining. I remember him as being a kind, warm hearted person and am sure everyone else has the same memories.
