Sarah Rosser Obituary

Sarah Elizabeth Rosser, 82, passed away on April 5, 2006. She was born on May 3, 1923 in Only, Tennessee. Her family moved to Phoenix in 1939 with her twin brother, James Wilkins, deceased, and her sister, Martha Anne Mitchell, deceased. Sarah was fascinated by airplanes and received her pilot's license at age 17. On June 9, 1945, Sarah married her husband of 52 years, Edward Joseph Rosser, deceased, and gave birth to their only child, Robert Roy Rosser, deceased. Being married to an Air Force Colonel and Top Gun Instructor, took Sarah to exotic places. Sarah has lived in Japan and the Philippines, as well as, many states throughout the US. She was a state champion tennis player and was a preferred partner for General Westmoreland during the Vietnam War. She also later became an award winning golfer in the Phoenix area. In the late 70's Sarah received her Real Estate License and was a top salesperson for Realty Executives for many years. Sarah is survived by her nephew Tim Wilkins, niece Bonnie Crail, grandchildren Aleks and Barrett Rosser, daughter-in-law Karla Rosser, Jana Wilkins and many others who will greatly miss her.
