Stacey Wright Obituary

Wright, Stacey Willard
84, from Vancouver, WA passed away in his Sun City, AZ home in the loving arms of his family on November 12, 2012 after a 2 year battle with mesothelioma. An avid golfer, Stacey and his wife Wynne spent winters in Arizona and summers at their home in Lake Cushman, WA. Stacey always enjoyed the outdoors and worked with the forest service early on before getting an engineering degree and settling into a long career with Pacific Power & Light. Stacey was married to Lucille Stewart for 27 years and together they raised their 3 children. Life changes led him to his wife Wynne of the past 28 years. Stacey is survived by his wife, Wynne, his children Nancy England (Keith), Cliff Wright (Dawn), Shelley Taylor (David), step daughter Tammy Raynor (Michael), brothers Elvis and Everett, 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother Haskell and parents Willard and Annis Wright. It's been said the mold was broken with this man with his inquisitive mind and unique personality, always ready with the "Stacey Stories" we have all come to love. He was liked by everyone and loved by so many and will be greatly missed and never forgotten. A Celebration of life will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver, WA at 12:30 pm on Sat. November 24, 2012. We owe such gratitude to Hospice of the Valley in Sun City, AZ for their loving kindness these past weeks. Donations to Hospice in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.

In our thoughts and prayers here in Oregon. Stacey was my mom's, Hazel Bradshaw Shelley Carnes, cousin. She had a lot of love for his family, spending some of her teen years living with them. (Annis and my grandpa John were siblings). Thinking of all of you.

I love you, Grandpa Stacey! Thank you for being you. I loved going to the cabin just to hear your sarcastic remarks and to learn all those fun facts. One of my favorite memories is when you took me and Laura on a walk. You walked so far and so fast that we couldn't keep up. We complained so much on that walk, but you kept pushing us. I love you, and I'm praying for you often.
