Mike, Shim, Donna and Elliot: Although I only knew Stephanie for a short time, she was a wonderful spark plug in my life. As a cancer survivor, I shared my wig and some scarves, hats and funky jewelry with her...and we joked about how "beautiful" we looked, bald, but "well-accessorized!" When I told her about The Desert Cancer Foundation of AZ and its efforts to assist the uninsured, she wanted to help...and from her hospital bed she did just that! Stephanie arranged for two lovely baskets to be made for the DCFA's Wine Tasting Fund Raiser in the Spring of 2011 and, although she had hoped to attend the event, she was in the hospital at the time, with a bacterial infection. Still, Dad Mike drove the baskets all the way to Chandler for the event! Mike then asked me to speak about DCFA to his Paradise Valley Rotary Club, and they made a generous donation. I was so humbled to accept for DCFA and the patients we serve. Stephanie told me how much she loved her Dad, Mom, sister and niece...and her dogs!...and I know you all love her, too. May your heavenly reunion be even more fun than your earthly life. Deepest Condolences and much love,

I miss you so much already stephanie. No matter when or where I saw you, if 1 month had passed or 1 year had passed we always picked up right where we left off. That to me is the sign of a true friendship. We shared so many good times together. Towards the end I will always regret not being there unconditionally for you but I hope you know how much I adored you. I will always carry you with me. I love you and I hope you're in a better place

When I think of my childhood, my mind goes to Stephanie. I spent countless hours with her and Donna, and I can not believe she's gone. She was so fun to spend time with and her laugh was infectious...but what I remember most was her fiercely loyal love for her sister.
My deepest condolences to the Maurers and Donna - may the sweet memories of her live forever in your hearts.

Thank you for the time that we had. You made a large impact on me, made me realize some things that I thought were just a memory. Ya, I forgot to take the grapefruit out of the fridge again. Sorry, I couldn't leave you without a joke. I loved making you smile and laugh even when times were rough and it was hard to smile, you found a way to. You are greatly missed, and will never be forgotten. - Jon

I have had the great pleasure of being friends with Stephanie and her sister Donna. She will be greatly missed! A wonderful person taken way too soon, she holds a special place in my heart and I will always remember the good times we had laughing and having fun sleep overs at her house in Scottsdale. She touched the lives of everyone she met and will continue to in her passing. I love you, friend! May you rest in peace

My deepest condolences to the Maurer family. When I met Steph, I was blinded by her beauty and loving energy. She was so kind and so very sweet. Even though her life was short, she truly left a mark on those that she had met briefly and touched in friendship. May she feel the love in side to keep her spirit well. God truly gained a special angel to step beside Him and to watch over all she cared so deeply for. My prayers to her and her family always.
