William Bullion Obituary

Bullion, William Elton Jr.
William Elton Bullion, Jr. was born in San Angelo Texas on September 10, 1928 to William E. Bullion, Sr. and the former Velma Evelyn Oliver. When he was young he was called Jackie. He graduated number one in his high school graduating class. His family moved to California arriving on December 7, 1941 – the day Pearl Harbor was bombed. He attended the University of California at Berkeley majoring in Architecture. The degree program required lots of engineering classes and as he graduated during the Korean War he went to work in the war effort working at North American, a defense company in Los Angeles. It was there he met our mom, Dorothy. It was love at first sight and they were married 51 years until her death in 2004. Three kids were born in Los Angeles, Greg, Karen and Kathleen. Philip was born in Phoenix. The family settled in Scottsdale. Dad retired from Talley Industries in 1990 having worked in the quality control division for their fighter jet ejection seat rocket program. He and Mom traveled internationally but mostly split their time between Scottsdale and their cabin near Show Low. Dad was a gentle man. He fed birds, quail, bunnies and any other wildlife that visited his yard. He was so regular in the feedings that birds lined up on the fence at feeding time. Bunnies would take carrots from his hand. He loved and supported his family and his grandchildren. We will miss his quiet peacefulness and his smile. Dad is survived by his children, Karen Collins (Dean), Kathleen Walton (Michael), and Philip Bullion. His wife Dorothy and son Greg predeceased him. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Travis Bullion, Kayla Walton, Kendra Cupps, Brittany Cupps, and Angela Bullion. No services are planned. Please give to your favorite charity in Dad's honor.
