William Charters Obituary

William Henry Charters V, or Bill as he was known to family and friends,
died suddenly from a massive heart attack on the evening of Saturday May 13th, 2006 in his home in Phoenix, Arizona. Bill was born on November 2nd, 1950 in Farmington, New
Mexico to William and Mary Charters. He was the oldest of four children, and moved to Phoenix at the age of five. He was a man of strength and character who was loved and respected by all who knew him. He lived his life according to the ideals that meant most to him; honesty, integrity, and devotion to his family. He was a self-reliant man who made his way from working in a warehouse to being one of the top salesmen in his field. He loved motorcycles and San Francisco, and hoped to one day travel the world with his beloved wife, Melody Martin-Charters. He is survived by Melody, who will love him "Forever and a Day", his stepdaughter Kyrie, his son Billy, his daughter-in-law Ashley, and his Granddaughter Station, step-daughter Sarah, step-son Joe and grandson Cameron. There will be a viewing from 5-8p.m. on Thursday May 18th at Resthaven Park Mortuary and Cemetery, followed by a Funeral Service Friday morning at 10 am.

Barry, Thank you so much for maintaining this guest book. Our families will find comfort in the words everyone is writing about him. We loved him more than we could say. We also appreciate everyone that was in his life recently or long ago. Thank you again.

Bill was a great man and a very good friend to my dad, Barry. He meant so much to him. I remember him from when I was little and I just remember how nice he was. I know that he will be watching over his friends and family and his Harley! Bill will be in my prayers along with his whole family.

My deepest sympathy go out to Melody and Billy and their families. Bill was always the one i looked up to from the time we met in 1988. We worked together for many years, rode together, laughed together. He was my mentor. I will miss you terribly my friend. God be with you Bill until we meet again. Ride Free.
